Metroidvania – Update #1


Hi everyone,

I’ve been busy with other stuff the past couple of weeks, so progress has been a bit slower than I would have liked. However, I have implemented a few new mechanics!

First, I’ve added a couple of enemies to the world. These are fairly basic creatures which will walk left/right or float up/down, but there is finally a bit of friction in the world. I’ve also implemented ducking, to give a bit of variety to the combat and movement.

I’ve also put pencil to paper and began designing the world and the enemies you’ll find within. I’m not planning for this to be a huge experience, so expect some sort of playable demo in a couple months. (No promises though!)

Thanks for reading! I’m planning on filling out the world with enemies, objects and more the next couple of weeks, so look forward to that.
